Tiny Craft Room Uses Rv Storage Ideas

By Angela Glancy
A craft room is a great place to keep hobby items that would otherwise clutter up your family’s living space or home office. Craft rooms tend to be very small though, some no more than the size of a walk in closet, so storage becomes a key concern for those hobbies that require lot of accessories and components. The best solution for a tiny craft room is to use RV type of storage.
Like a small craft room, an RV (recreational vehicle) tends to house a lot of items in a very small space. These not only have to be housed, but secured so that everything does not get tossed about or broken when the RV is moving during travel. For that reason, RV storage is the ideal solution to tiny craft room storage.
Storage Ideas: Apothecary
The biggest thing that accumulates in a tiny craft room is paraphernalia. Whether you are a scrapbook fanatic, love to sew, create photo collages, or build model cars, it requires a host of items in order to make projects flow smoothly. The biggest challenge in the room is to find a home for the myriad of little parts and pieces that you need in order to have fun with your hobby.
One great answer is an apothecary, which is very similar to a wall of drawers used in a medicine shop to store a lot of medicines and medicine equipment. They can be as shallow or deep as you need them to be, and floor-to-ceiling drawers are stylish and a handy means of storing everything. Labeling the drawers will help you find what you are looking for when you work your hobby, and everything stays neat and organized.
Storage Ideas: Cube Storage
Cube wall shelves are another simple and helpful idea for storing some types of craft materials, such as paper, felt, tape, paint, and similar items. Much like a picture frame, they are cubes that hang directly on the wall with room to insert a few accessories. Size and depth are based on the cube, and varying sizes can create depth in the room while still maintaining style and sophistication.
Similar to an apothecary, a cube storage system offers many different units to hold multiple items securely. However, many cube storage systems are customizable, whereas the apothecary’s cubes are all the same size. With a cube storage system, you can tailor the size of the cube to meet your needs, and some systems come with doors that can be closed on scissors, glue, and dangerous items that should be kept away from children or pets.
Making Every Inch Count
Finally, the best RV storage for a tiny craft room is to make every square inch of storage space count. Build storage drawers or cabinets under your desk. Take a cabinet with a door, such as a medicine cabinet, and appropriate it for craft room use. Hanging baskets are great, but they spill easily and aren’t always the best option for storing small items. Use them for yarn or other material that will not fall out easily and make a mess.

Zoo elephants live shorter lives than their wild counterparts, report warns
Friday, December 12, 2008
A recently released report has found that elephants living in protected environments in their natural habitats live significantly longer lives than elephants kept in zoos.
The report focused on Elephants in European zoos, and it stated that “bringing elephants into zoos profoundly impairs their viability.” Georgia J. Mason, who lead the study, also stated that zoos do not need to abandon the idea of keeping elephants in captivity, although he did recommend that imports of the animal should only occur in zoos which have a track record of successfully addressing issues in elephant’s health, and have a productive breeding programme.

“Currently zoos are consumers rather than producers of elephants,” added Mason. “We feel that’s not really appropriate.”
The Association of Zoos and Aquariums criticised the findings. The organisation’s senior vice president for conservation and education, Paul Boyle, described the research as “terribly flawed.”
Boyle also stated that he did not remember any time when elephants were brought into the US for zoos. “I cannot speak for other countries,” he added “but that [the statement that elephants are imported for zoos] is not true of the United States.”
The researchers for the report were from organisations including the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the University of Guelph.
Israel undergoes major emergency drill
Thursday, April 10, 2008
Israel has tested its readiness for a state of war and emergency by testing its emergency services and shelters on a national scale.
The drill is to be analyzed in order to determine the elements which need to be corrected and fixed, and Israel’s emergency readiness is to be assessed.
Israeli school children were told to hide under their school tables as part of the drill, which officials claimed to be the biggest drill ever in Israeli history.
Syria has claimed, in return, that the drill is intended as a battle readiness exercise and claims that Israel is preparing for war.

Glasgow cannabis enthusiasts celebrate ‘green’ on city green
Tuesday, April 22, 2014
Coinciding with Easter Sunday, Glasgow Cannabis Social Club’s annual 420 event was held on Glasgow Green, under sunny blue skies, and overlooking the river Clyde. Despite the city’s council attempting to revoke permission for the gathering at the last minute, police were happy for it to go-ahead with approximately a dozen officers attending in high-visibility vests.

The Daily Record reported five arrests were made for minor offences, likely smoking and possession of small quantities of cannabis. Taking a less-sensational — and more accurate — line of reporting, the Monday edition of Glasgow’s Evening News stated five were referred to the Procurator Fiscal who is responsible for deciding if charges should be brought.
Official figures provided by the police were that 150 attended. With people coming and going, Wikinews reporters estimated upwards of 200 attended, compared to nearly 700 who had signed up for the event on Facebook. Hemp goods were advertised and on sale at the event, and some attendees were seen drinking cannabis-themed energy drinks.
“I was searched and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act (which is a lot of bollocks)” one attendee noted online, adding “not fair to happen on a brilliant day like it was, other than that I had a great day!” A second said they were openly smoking and ignored by police, who “were only really focusing on people who looked particularly young”.
Cannabis seeds were openly and legally sold at the event and a hydroponics supplier brought a motortrike towing an advertising trailer. Actually growing cannabis is, however, illegal in the UK.
With the event openly advocating the legalisation of cannabis, speakers put their arguments for this to a receptive crowd. Retired police officer James Duffy, of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, spoke of the failed United States alcohol prohibition policy; stressing such policies needlessly bring people into contact with criminal elements. Highlighting other countries where legalisation has been implemented, he pointed out such led to lower crime, and lower drug use overall.
One speaker, who produced a bottle of cannabis oil he had received through the post, asserted this cured his prostate cancer. Others highlighted the current use of Sativex by the National Health Service, with a cost in-excess of £150 for a single bottle of GW Pharmaceuticals patented spray — as-compared to the oil shown to the crowd, with a manufacturing cost of approximately £10.
Similar ‘420’ pro-cannabis events were held globally.
Brazil’s Minas state stops sales of Toyota Corolla
Friday, April 23, 2010
Minas, one of the largest states of Brazil, has stopped the sale of the Toyota Corolla over safety concerns.
The move was made after nine Corolla customers reported that their cars automatically accelerated. The state public prosecutor’s office said in an online statement on Tuesday that the problem is blamed on accelerator pedals sticking underneath floor mats. Local government said the issue was “putting in danger the lives of occupants”.
According to the prosecutor’s office, sales of Corollas may resume when Toyota alters the floormats in its current models. Toyota has recalled over eight million vehicles worldwide due to acceleration problems.

Be Careful What You Wish For, It Just Might Come True
by
Adrienne Smith
Remember the story about Aladdins lamp? As the story goes, the boy picks up the lamp and rubs it. Out comes a genie and tells the boy that he has three wishes. The boy gives him his first wish and the genie tells him that your wish is my command. The boy continues with his second and third wish as the genie follows through with your wish is my command. I always found that story fascinating and dreamed that would some day come true for me.
When I was a child I did not understand that the genie is just a symbol and really stands for the higher power, God, the Universe, Allah, whoever is your highest consciousness. So what this story really means is that whatever belief system you have in place, that is who is granting your every wish. For now, we will continue to use the genie.
the law of attraction is always working in everyone persons life whether you realize it or not. Have you caught yourself asking for something and then later thinking to yourself that you will never be able to acquire it? The genie is in everyones life and he is making your wishes come true. He is in essence saying to you each time you ask for something or wish for something that your wish is my command. Just think about that for a few minutes.
Say you want a promotion really bad at work and you constantly say to yourself that you deserve that job because you are the best person for that position. As time goes by and you have not heard anything, negative thoughts start creeping in and you start doubting yourself and your ability to actually get the promotion. Remember that every single thought that you are thinking is backed up with the genie telling you that your wish is my command. Be careful what you wish for.
The genie can get overwhelmed at times because you are throwing so many different thoughts that way. Such as I really would like to buy that; your wish is my command, but I cannot afford it; your wish is my command. I want that promotion so bad; your wish is my command, but I do not know if I will get it; your wish is my command. When you follow your wish with a negative statement that is what you are going to get. Keep those positive thoughts, wishes and dreams in your mind at all times and the genie will grant your wish.
The most important lesson I learned about keeping negative thoughts out of my mind is the genie story. Everything you say, think, feel and do are coming from that higher place. The genie is granting your wishes without you realizing that is what is really happening. Just remember to be careful what you wish for or your wish just might come true.

Ban Ki-Moon says Cyprus solution “possible”
Monday, February 1, 2010
A new set of talks are scheduled to attempt to reunite Cyprus, prompting UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon to say that a solution is “possible and within reach” when he arrived in the country yesterday for talks between Greek and Turkish-Cypriot leaders that will take place later today.
Progress have been slow for the peace talks, which started in September 2008, but the UN chief said that a deal would require “courage, flexibility and vision as well as a spirit of compromise”. “I am under no illusion that the Cyprus problem is easy to solve”, he told reporters after he arrived in Larnaca yesterday in preparation for the talks with Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot Mehmet Ali Talat today.
Ban said that “solving the Cyprus problem will give inspiration to all those around the world trying to solve other seemingly intractable problems and I’m looking forward to having good meetings with the leaders”, with the Greek and Turkish Cypriot leaders saying that they are committed to finding a solution. Monday’s talks will involve Ban holding talks with the two leaders individually, before chairing a meeting between the pair. Any deal that emerges will be a subject of two simultaneous referendums, one for each side of the border. Both sides agree that “nothing is agreed until everything is agreed”.
Jonny Dymond, the BBC Europe correspondent, has expressed fears that time is running out on a solution. There are also worries that the fast approaching northern Cyprus leadership elections will mean that Talat is replaced by nationalist Dervis Eroglu, who is leading in opinion polls. If this were to happen, talks might be shelved.
Cyprus has been divided since 1974, after Turkish forces invaded after a coup led by Greece allegedly aimed to absorb it. Northern Cyprus is only recognised as a state by Turkey.
